Posle tromesecnog traganja za proizvodjacem, stigla je Pro-Faktura, roba narucena i placena.

Kada je stiglo sve u BOR, oni nisu verovali da ce se ista od obecanja ostvariti.

Stiglo je bezbroj pisama zahvalnosti pacijenata koji su nasom pomoci prohodali.

Dear Sirs,

I was free to address You with the request to help Mother and Child Health Care Institute of Serbia “ Dr. Vukan Cupic”. Intensive Care Unit is very important department for children’s health. It is opened for 24 hours a day for the whole country and children with most difficult and acute diseases are located there. For example: child with bacterial meningitis, encephalitis, acute disturbance of consciousness of different causes, serious cardiac disease, serious renal disease, newborn babies after difficult delivery with convulsions and respiratory distress. Also all poisoned children and children with serious allergies are put there. Three months ago our old portable EEG machine broke down. That machine serves for evaluation of cerebral functions of children with neurological diseases but also with congenital cardiac anomalies (for example, childhood stroke associated with congenital cardiac anomalies). In the old times, our service had 3 EEG machines; 2 machines in the 2nd floor in 2 laboratories and 1 in Intensive Care Unit.

We recorded 5oo EEG’s per month. The number of EEG records and the patients are still the same but we have only one machine in laboratory and that machine is fixed. If we want to make a record we have to transfer the patient to the EEG laboratory what is possible only when the patient is in a better condition. But the most seriously ill children are dependant of oxygen or mechanical ventilation and are deprived of this kind of brain evaluation, which is sometimes of diagnostic and prognostic value. EEG record in newborn babies has the most reliable prognostic value from 2nd to 7th day of life but when they are seriously ill it is dangerous to move them out of the incubator. In Cardio surgery Intensive Care Unit sometimes there are unwanted effects expressed as seizures, which should be evaluated with EEG and treated promptly. Now, we do not have the availability of that and we treat babies on clinical ground only, as we did 2o years ago. The most difficult problem for us is the high price of portable EEG machines and our inability to earn the funds in spite of hard work. In normal economic situation all this EEG records done would make economic basis for the next new machine but here the more you work the more you loose. Our obligation is to continue to diagnose and treat the little patients and there is no possibility for pause. Portable EEG machine will enable our patients to be diagnosed quickly and accurately and to have a better chance for good outcome.

Nismo bili u stanju da izfinansiramo portable EEG masinu ali smo im zato poslali veliki broj specijalnih elektronskih kapica koje se koriste za dijagnosticiranje ostecenja mozga kod dece i odraslih. Ovo je potrosni materijal bez kojeg ne bi mogli da rade.
